Have you ever felt you needed someone to speak to but didn't want to bother anyone? Do you feel isolated or lonely and you want someone to talk to? Perhaps you don't know where to turn for advice or help.
Maybe you are bereaved, recovering from illness or struggling with debts. Whatever the issue we are here to help and if we can't help we will find someone who can.
Assist began when people from the churches in Cherry Willingham, Fiskerton and Reepham wanted to make a difference in peoples lives. Our aim is to empower people and support people through their difficulties so that they can get "back on their feet."
What we do?
Providing a designated volunteer to each client who will offer one to one support and befriending either on the telephone or in person.
Taking people for a coffee, accompanying them to a social group or activity or supporting them through a medical appointment.
