As a parent you might ask for Home-Start's help for all sorts of reasons - feeling isolated, finding it hard to cope, bereavement or the struggle of the emotional and physical demands of having twins or triplets - perhaps born into an already large family.
There is no stigma attached to Home-Start's help - the fact that almost 25% of families refer themselves is proof of that. After asking for support you will meet with one of their local organisers who will carefully match you with one of their volunteers. Our volunteers all have parenting experience and will visit you for a couple of hours a week and give you both emotional and practical help.
Home-Start supports any family who needs them, as long as they have at least one child under five.
