Kirton Methodist Church (London Road, Kirton PE21 1JE) are trying really hard to connect with the village. They currently offer:
a monthly coffee morning (2nd Saturday), where people can buy/swap books and jigsaw puzzles.
a weekly gathering, which they have called the 'Young at Heart' group. At the moment this is on Tuesdays at 1.30 via Zoom.
Bible Heroes, for children on the 2nd Sunday 10.30-11.30 - this is kind of like a Sunday School
a weekly toddler group (although this hasn't started back in person yet)
We are hoping to begin a development project in the New Year which will make access to our building much easier for people with disabilities. Part of the project is to install wifi where we hope to offer a digital hub for local residents teaching them how to access things online, order food deliveries from supermarkets etc etc. We are fortunate to have a lay person work with us who has extensive benefits knowledge, and we want to be able to support those who struggle claiming benefits.
Zion Methodist Church (Brothertoft Road, Boston, PE21 8HD) offers:
weekly coffee morning on Thursdays 9.30-11.30
CAMEO (Come and Meet Everyone) weekly on Fridays 2-4
Meet and Eat 3rd Thursday - meals offered at reasonable prices
Zion also has a short mat bowls club, Wednesdays at 7pm and on Mondays 10-12 a Craft and Coffee group (this isn't run by the church, but I would think is open to everyone). There's also a scouting group that uses our building but not sure of the days/timings and we are also home to an Alcoholics Anonymous group
