The Woodland Wellbeing Programme provides free wellbeing activities delivered by nature-based facilitators
with lived experience of mental ill health and health professionals. The programme includes:
Horticultural therapy - garden related activities to promote wellbeing, including preparing the soil, planting
seedlings and harvesting.
Yoga and Mindful Movement - gentle body and breathing exercises for increased self awareness and
awareness of the natural world, often recommended for reducing stress, anxiety and depression.
Sustainable Eco Crafts - creating art using nature material found in the woodland.
Volunteering to engage with nature through therapeutic horticulture and restoring or conserving the natural
environment.
