Rhubarb Theatre delivers creative and original arts experiences. Our intention is to make accessible and thought-provoking theatre. Our style is often visual, removing language barriers. As a result, we reach audiences who do not speak English or who need a more creative approach, e.g., people with additional needs. We are dedicated to bringing arts opportunities into areas of need, delivering in some of the most isolated and socially deprived areas in Lincolnshire and UK. Transport is limited and social activities are not always accessible. Rhubarb brings arts to these communities, and since Covid-19 we now create work online, which reaches a wider audience. We enhance people’s ability to learn, helping them gain confidence, inspiring them to use their imaginations. Through our activities, we bring people together, combating loneliness and encouraging different generations to work together. Rhubarb Theatre also work with disadvantaged groups, providing training, improving social skills and bringing fun. The arts are an effective tool for learning and we partner with organisations to raise awareness through issue-based theatre. Offering a widely diverse programme of theatre activities, our versatility enables us to work with all areas of the community, regardless of language, ability, age or location.
