The funding will be used to develop a Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET) programme which will provide personalised support to help students make a positive transition into post-16 education employment or training. A NEET Prevention Officer would be employed to work on a 1-2-1 basis with participants and their families providing support: to identify appropriate post-16 options based on interests and likely academic achievement and to find appropriate work experience placements for students with high needs including carrying out health and safety checks with new providers and discussing students learning and support needs.
