Community Connectors work within local communities to help people find the right support, strengthen local connections and improve mental health and wellbeing.
Shine Lincolnshire works in partnership with New Life Community Church Spilsby to deliver Community Connector provision across areas of Boston, East Lindsey and West Lindsey.
Our Connectors are embedded within the communities they support, building relationships with local people, groups, organisations and services.
How can a Community Connector help?
Community Connectors can:
Help you find local groups, activities and support
Connect you with services that may be able to help
Support community groups and organisations to develop
Bring local organisations and services together
Identify gaps in local provision and help communities respond
Help reduce loneliness and isolation by creating opportunities to connect
You don’t need to know exactly what support you need before getting in touch. A Community Connector can listen to what’s important to you and help you explore what is available locally.
This could be a support service, but it could also be a social group, activity, volunteering opportunity or somewhere to meet new people.
Supporting local communities
Community Connectors also work closely with voluntary organisations, community groups, charities and statutory services.
By understanding what’s already happening locally and listening to what communities need, they can help strengthen existing support and bring people together to develop new opportunities where there are gaps.
Our Lead Community Connector works across the Shine and New Life Community Church Spilsby partnership, supporting collaboration and consistency while ensuring each Connector can respond to the needs of their own local area.
