Dear colleagues, partners, families and friends of Wright Way Sports and Education (WWSE),
After much consideration, Brad Wright, Founder & WWSE Operations Director, has made the decision to step away from Wright Way Sports and Education to pursue new adventures and opportunities.
On behalf of everyone at WWSE and Shine, I would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Brad for his hard work, dedication and commitment to WWSE.
Brad has played a significant role in the journey, growth and development of WWSE. We have seen firsthand the achievements of the organisation and the positive impact it has had across sport, physical activity and education.
We are incredibly grateful for everything Brad has contributed and wish him every success and happiness in this exciting next chapter.
It may be useful to provide clarity around the ownership and future of Wright Way Sports and Education.
Shine Lincolnshire acquired WWSE in December 2025 and will remain the sole owner. Our relationship with Brad Wright and Wright Way Sports, goes back much further, as we have worked closely together since its inception. WWSE will continue. There is no change to the current ownership of WWSE, and all existing delivery, programmes, partnerships and services will continue as normal. We remain fully committed to the organisation, its people and the communities it serves.
There is however one change relating to the football club, “Wright Way FC”.
Wright Way FC will no longer be attached to Wright Way Sports and Education and will be renamed “Forrest Rangers”. The club will continue with Brad as Chairperson, with its work and development continuing independently.
To support a smooth transition, Shine will sponsor the replacement kits for the season ahead to support the continuation and rebranding of the football club.
Strategic oversight of Wright Way Sports and Education will now be led by myself, Rachel Cook, as CEO of Shine, alongside Damon Parkinson, our Strategic and Commercial Director.
We are also delighted that Tristan Drummond will progress into the role of WWSE Physical Activity and Education Lead, strengthening the leadership of our delivery and ensuring we continue to develop our work across physical activity, sport and education.
The focus remains firmly on building on the strong foundations already established and creating further opportunities for the people and communities we work with.
Change brings new opportunities, and while we are sorry to see Brad step away, we are excited about the next chapter for Wright Way Sports and Education.
Brad, thank you for your hard work, dedication and everything you have done to help build WWSE into the organisation it is today.
