We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Sessional Community Wellbeing Workers to join our Community Engagement team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of our Community Hubs and Community Connector service, helping create welcoming, inclusive spaces where people can connect, access support and improve their wellbeing.
Hours of Work
The core sessions are:
- Monday: 11:45am – 2:15pm
- Tuesday: 8:45am – 11:15am
- Thursday: 2:15pm – 4:45pm
We welcome applications from individuals who wish to undertake all available sessions or as part of a job share arrangement. There may also be opportunities to work additional sessional hours to provide annual leave and absence cover or to support delivery at other Shine Lincolnshire locations, including Gainsborough, Market Rasen and Louth, subject to service need.
About the Role
You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of our Community Hub and Community Connector services by:
- Welcoming people attending Community Hub sessions and helping create a friendly, safe and inclusive environment.
- Supporting the delivery of community activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation and encourage meaningful participation.
- Working alongside Community Connectors, volunteers and partner organisations to provide practical support during hub sessions and community activities.
- Encouraging people to access local services, activities and opportunities that support their health and wellbeing.
- Helping prepare community venues before sessions and ensuring they are left clean, safe and welcoming afterwards.
- Collecting attendance information and participant feedback to support service monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Promoting Shine Lincolnshire’s values by treating everyone with dignity, respect and compassion while supporting people to build confidence, independence and stronger community connections
